About this event
INWR Car Control Clinic
The Inland Northwest Region Porsche Club of America will conduct a Car Control Clinic at Qlispé Raceway Park in Airway Heights, WA on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
The Car Control Event (previously known as Driver Skills) is a one-day course on the fundamentals of driving your Porsche and other makes cars, at safe limits on streets and highways. You’ll drive through car control exercises set up on the closed course. Designed to focus and perfect your techniques on essential safe road and high-performance driving skills; looking ahead, weight transfer, smooth inputs, threshold braking, target fixation and more. Coaching with trained instructors ensures that the clinic has something to offer drivers at all experience levels. You’ll be better prepared to handle yourself in emergency situations. All Porsche and other sport vehicle models are welcome, especially SUV’s.
The skills exercises do not involve timing or competition. Instead, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level. The exercises are designed to improve your ability to look ahead, place the car precisely, control weight transfer and brake effectively. At the end of the primary sessions, students can apply all the lessons of the day on a fun handling course.
For additional information, visit the Driver Skills area of the INWR website.
All vehicles are welcome to attend, except for full-size (1/2 ton or larger) pickups and SUV’s.
We’re also looking for a few volunteers to help with flagging, setup, etc.the day before and the day of the event. Please contact Mitch Lewis if you'd like to help.
