About this event
PCA Rally Sport Region Grattan Raceway HPDE Event
Friday-Sunday 12-14 June 2026, Grattan Raceway, Belding, MI
Fellow driving enthusiasts! Join us at Grattan Raceway June 12-14. We are proudly welcoming back our good friend Ross Bentley, along with Sam Smith, for a very special weekend.
Ross and Sam will be hosting their "It's not the car" podcast live during the weekend. This will be the first live broadcast of their show from an HPDE ever. They will also be hosting classroom sessions and chat sessions as time permits. This is your chance to drive, laugh, and learn from two icons in the automotive world up close and personal.
Ross Bentley has driven Indy Car, won the 24 Hours of Daytona, won the USRRC GT3 championship in a BMW, is a professional driving coach, and authored the Speed Secrets series of books (https://speedsecrets.com) for a deep dive into performance driving.
Sam Smith is the former executive editor of Road & Track, hosted NBC Sports TV, written for the New York Times, and driven more old race cars than he can remember. Sam qualified on the front row of the Goodwood Revival while eating way too many bacon sandwiches !! He's an incurable storyteller and has spent decades telling stories like that one for a living.
This weekend is focused on how to improve your driving at Grattan and how to apply these improvements to other tracks you drive. There will be plenty of track time as well as classroom and workshop time with Ross and Sam!
Forget the Olympics, the Daytona 500, F1 at Monaco; if you attend only one event this year, this is the one to choose.
Note: To ensure the quality of student-instructor experience, there will be caps on run-group size, so register early!
