We have all seen the news stories, many people have lost their homes and belongings to the recent wildfires in Boulder County. Many member have reached out to the Board of Directors wanting to know how they can help. During the January Board Meeting, the members unanimiously voted to set up a donation site, and collect donations at the January Social. RMR will be matching member's donations via these two methods up to a total of $5,000. The Charity we have determined will do the most immediate good for the displaced families in Boulder County is the Community Foundation of Boulder County. Here is a little more information about what they do for the community.
As Boulder County’s trusted philanthropic partner for over 30 years, Community Foundation Boulder County will work closely with our government and nonprofit partners to coordinate, align resources and fill gaps to support those most impacted by the wildfires. Our experience has shown us the importance of deep local relationships in meeting short- and long-term community needs in a crisis with equity, transparency, and integrity.
