On Saturday, September 12 join GMR members Christian and Marie Pratt as they lead us on the "No Gap Tour".
The tour will begin at the Northfield/ Williamstown Park & Ride at Exit 5 on i-89 (3974 VT Route 64 Riverton, VT 05663) and will end at the Exit 4 Park & Ride (26 Bettis Road, Randolph, VT 05061). The tour route will bring us through some of Eastern Vermont's great farmlands and hidden holars, and even a covered bridge. From Exit 5 we will drive through Rock of Ages in Graniteville before heading onto Chelsea and Fairlee where we will stop at the Lake Morey Inn for lunch. After the lunch break continue onto Strafford and Tunbridge before ending the tour at the Exit 4 Park and Ride. This will be a great way to welcome the coming of fall and its attendant foliage.
The tour is approximately 110 miles in length and should take around 3 hours driving time with a lunch stop.
Schedule
- 9:30am - Begin gathering at the Exit 5 Park & Ride (3974 VT Route 64 Riverton, VT 05663)
- 10:15am - Mandatory Participants Meeting
- 10:30am - Tour Start
- 12:30pm - Lunch at the Lake Morey Inn
- 1:45pm - Depart Lake Morey Inn
- 3:30pm - Tour ends at the Exit 4 Park & Ride (26 Bettis Road, Randolph, VT 05061)
We will have a Light Buffet Lunch at the Lake Morey Inn. The menu will include a choice of soup (PLACEHOLDER) or salad (PLACEHOLDER), choice of sandwich (PLACEHOLDER 1, PLACEHOLDER 2 or PLACEHOLDER 3), assorted rolls, chips, fresh baked cookies & brownies as well as coffee and tea. The cost for lunch is $45/person inclusive of gratuity.
