This training session is designed for those in PNWR who have lead or been a sweep car on a PNWR tour or WOULD LIKE TO GET INVOLVEDFOR FUTURE TOURS!! We are looking to get some "new blood" in the group/sweep ranks so please consider helping out as a group lead or sweep.
Our goal is to make sure EVERYBODY is on the same page with regards to how we plan and conduct our driving tours. This includes using a standard set of driving directions, pre-event and "day-of" tour organization for all tours so that both organizers and attendees know what to expect rather than feeling like each tour is conducted in a vacuum. This training session will cover how to be a successful group driving tour lead or sweep car on our PNWR driving tours. Topics will include your responsibilities from the initial show time at the designated meeting point to getting the cars assembled in the proper group, waiver signing, briefing group attendees prior to tour start, group considerations during the tour, radio calls, regrouping, how to handle car problems within the group and how to take charge of your groups instead of just being the first car up front. We will also cover the PCA Minimum Driving Tour Standards so there is no question about how tours should be conducted. Thanks in advance and please plan to attend and participate in the session.
This training session will follow immediatley after Griot's Caffeine and Gasoline event from 8 - 10 AM so come out early and view the cars (Italian theme) prior to the training session. Additionally, Griot's is offering all PNWR members a 20% (not 15%) discount on all Griot's products throughout the day!! Its' a good day to visit Griot's!

Take Exit 132
Take second 38th St exit after overpass (S 38th St West toward Tacoma Mall)
Bear right onto S 38th St.
Go 3/4 of a mile to Griot's Garage on the right (white building with red stripes.) Last intersection is S Lawrence St.
Traveling East (from Gig Harbor):
Traveling SR-16 East
Take Exit 1B for Union Ave.
Turn right onto S Union Ave.
Turn left onto S 38th St.
Turn left onto S Lawrence St.
Griot's Garage is on the left (white building with red stripes.) Lot entrance is behind the building.
